Am I color-ist???

I don't know what it is, I just don't think that I will ever be able to see eye to eye with orange. I think this is going to have to be a case where we just have to agree to disagree.

Other things I cannot get on board with...

Girls who burp loud and then giggle and excuse them selves.

Guys with bangs.

Putting the toilet paper on so that it rolls off TOWARDS the wall.

Urinals.

Messy graffiti.

Girls who insist on wearing trucker hats and wife-beater undershirts.

Girls who smoke.

People asking "whats wrong?"

The Flying Scotsman

Great flick, great folks.

Waited around in the rain for a bit, but it was worth it. I finally met some of the folks of sffixed...lots actually. We got there about an hour early because more tickets than seats were given away. Regardless there was still a line to be waited in. What made it bearable was the mass amount of riders that kept showing up and joining our group. It was nice to put names, which I have now forgotten, to faces.

Inside the theater, before the flick, people were shouting and whooping and calling out to each other. It was great, even though I was pretty much there on my own, I was a part of this larger group that was tight. During the movie there were tons of boxes of candy and popcorn being passed through out the isles. I guess a couple of girls had bags full of goodies. Not to mention all the flasks and beer being passed and consumed. I wish I could have gone to the after party...next time.

Things that happened since my pants exploded

1- We had a bit of a meeting at work and I am now a bit more motivated and happy to be here.

2- I went to go meet up with some folks for an organized ride, however, I had to go home to work on my res. and cover letter. Thats right, regardless of #1, I am still looking to move up.

3- I am about to go and meet up with a bunch of riders and go see a sneak peak of the movie The Flying Scottsman. Stoked. I can't wait. I only regret that I choose not to ride my bike in to work today. Like, so bummed.

I have the weekend road trip travel bug...

This weekend it's gonna be rafting the SFA for Yukihiro's B-day.

Next weekend its gonna be an intimate weekend getaway with poolside drinks, dinner, hot tub, wine under the stars and breakfast with flowers.

I have a feeling that this may not satisfy me....I may have to move to Greece.

A Case of the Exploding Pants.

Ok, so my brother and I have a tendency to buy pants that are eager to explode in the croch area. This explosion normally comes after about two or three months and usually there are clues as to when the actual explosion is going to happen. Hints such as see through threading, and the usual worn out look of denim. Today, however, seemes to be the exception.
I was on my bicycle riding up third from Bayview to the Embarcadero. It happened just before Evans street, about half way through my trip. It was so windy today that I frequently had to stand to pedal, either that or the wind would slow me down to the point of tipping over. It happened as I was sitting back down on my saddle. I was slidding back into place and my saddle bit onto the inseam of my pants and took quite a sizable chunk out. The bite was so sizable that my right buttock proceeded to take the opportunity to bask in the sunlight. My taint and the bottom portion of my scrotum, caressed by the leather, soon began to chafe. I tried keeping the flap of denim between me and my saddle, that was useless. What was I to do?
I rode the next two miles, bare back, yes, bare back. Only to get to the Embarcadero BART station an hour before they let bikes on. So I found a pillar in a nice sunny spot and proceded to lean for the next hour. When the sun would move, I would watch for people aproaching and when the coast was clear, I would leap to the next sunny pillar. A BART ride home with my shoulder pack between my legs ended my day....now I am going to go to bed and have nightmares about this.

My god...

Girls out of breath from trotting to try to keep up, yet talking more and more, regardless of their out of breathyness and trotting.

I need to get outside..

This weekend, rafting trip. First one of the year. I'm kinda nervous that once I get up there I wont want to come home. Of all the years to quite being a guide I think this one was the right one. There was hardly any snow melt/heavy rains so the rivers will be extra boney. Nobody likes a boney river. I am seriously questioning how long I can work in this type of environment. We will see....

conversations with myself

Having a blog makes you feel important. Well, at least it makes me feel important. Like when I talk there are people out there listening. But we all, and by 'we' I mean me, know that there isn't anyone out there listening. Not a single person. Except me. I'm listening/talking/typing/reading.
Me: What??
Also Me: Huh???
Me again: Did you say something??
Me: No, I thought you did???
And finally...Me: What???
....

At work, semi hung over.

Looking for a bike helmet, an apartment, a cure, and at old bikes.

Really into listening to The Swans, Television, and The Velvet Underground while riding my bike. Have yet to fall/be doored.

Currently feel like:
Saving money so that I can afford to go to NY at the end of May and still afford to move into a new apartment on June 1st...or maybe just save up and move to Greece.

Big things coming up.

My friend Brittany

Brittany is the best. She makes me laugh and even better still she laughs at the things I say. Brittany makes life fun, even after work when you have three hours to kill until you can get on bart and San Francisco is feeling like the loneliest little city on earth. Along comes Brittany and she strolls with you and chases down girls you think are cute to explain to them that she is not your girlfriend and then offers to get a 22oz and sit in the park. Oh man, the best.
I feel like this has been a kindergarden paper about my favorite reletive (those are pretty mean and kinda disturbing anyway) so I am going to quit it. Britts....I'll leave you with this...ride your bike more. It's fun.
